Social Mission

Our entire firm is committed to instigating social impact by addressing the issues facing the men and women who have served our country. One of the biggest issues facing our military veterans is the high level of veteran unemployment. Not only do we want to draw attention to this issue, but we are determined to set precedent for prospective employers of veterans. We are convinced the core of any company can be strengthened when staffed with military veterans.

Employment Opportunities for Veterans
After over ten years of battlefield deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and other fronts to fight the War on Terror, the number of service-disabled veterans has expanded rapidly. Unemployment among returning veterans is higher than the national average. Academy Securities is committed to helping veterans transition their substantial military work ethic, initiative, leadership experience, and operational discipline to the private sector.

Opportunities at Academy
We encourage veteran applicants to apply for every open position at Academy; open positions may be found on our Careers page. If Academy is unable to hire a veteran applicant, the firm will attempt to assist the veteran in finding the resources they need to find meaningful employment that best fits needs, skill sets, and aspirations.

Veteran Training Initiatives
One of the greatest challenges veterans face when returning home is a lack of “understanding” from employers. Employers need to increase their understanding of the unique and diverse experience of veterans to properly evaluate their contribution to any organization. The military culture produces driven and self-motivated individuals who respond to an increased “understanding” and opportunity rather than any form of charity or a handout.  Academy Securities has developed training platforms to help veterans transition into the world of financial services.
